Amplifying adolescent girls’ and young women’s voices in Sexual Reproductive Health & HIV policies.

This project is implemented with support from Her Voice Fund (The HER Voice Fund is funded and supported by ViiV Healthcare Positive Action and the Global Fund). The project seeks to address the lack of meaningful youth participation in SRH and HIV policy formulation processes which is a key challenge faced in Uganda.  There is no well coordinated strategy by government through which information can reach the youth, a factor that has limited their participation in the policy formulation processes.

Under this project, Sensitise Uganda;-

1. Supports and enhances adolescent girls’ and young women’s capacity to understand, meaningfully participate and contribute to the formulation and implementation of SRH and HIV related Policies and guidelines.

2. Creates awareness about HIV and empowers adolescent girls and young women especially those in schools and universities to be able dialogue with policy makers on the policies that affect their lives.

3. Empowers adolescent girls and young women to advocate for youth friendly policies and increased Sexual reproductive health and HIV response budgets.
